Heyyyyy! It's been a minute, huh? Lots of shit has happened, and we are undergoing a few major life changes. Hopefully it'll all be worth it! ☺️ Anyway, let's not beat around the bush anymore and get right to it.
Long story short - I got a new job! I went from being able to get by with a T-shirt and jeans to tucked in shirt with heels 👠. In the past few months, I have been trying to prioritize updating my wardrobe and not buying shit clothes. In doing so, I decided to expand my budget a little more. For example, I've never spent more than like, $30 for a pair of pants. During the winter time, I invested in a few cashmere sweaters, which I wore almost every day. For the spring though, I was interested in trying a few more styles, which is how I decided to try Stitch Fix.

We Summarize Things
Clothes are kinda pricey for the quality. Items delivered in each box are a hit or miss. Scheduled boxes don't work out too well for my style. Very user friendly though, and I've gotten some good pieces, mostly of my own pickings.

Lately, I've been really sick of my work clothes, and I asked Stitch Fix to help me out, both during the winter and spring. My work style is business casual, and my go-to outfit is usually a comfy blouse, some dark jeans, and ankle boots.
When I first joined Stitch Fix, I filled out a survey of my clothing size and style preferences. I also selected the frequency of my boxes. Since I didn't wanna break the bank with these new clothes, I chose every 3 months, which gives me a few new pieces for every season.
Winter Box (January)

I was a little nervous upon receiving my first box, but I was pleasantly surprised! The letter that was sent to me was really personalized, and I honestly could've kept all the clothes that were sent to me, but I had a gray sweater almost identical to the one I received, and the tan pair of pants were a tad too big on me.

I don't normally wear professional pants, but the black ones they sent me were really comfortable and I decided to keep them in case I needed them for an event or something. These clothing items were more expensive than I'm comfortable with, but I decided to give them a chance given their quality. The pair of joggers were a real gamble, because I really wasn't ready to spend over $60 on joggers. However, they were so soft and comfy I just needed to keep them. In the end, I kept 3 out of the 5 items they sent me.
I was pretty happy with my first box and ended up spending some extra time browsing through the Stitch Fix site. You can order specific pieces outside of your scheduled cycle and have clothes shipped to you. I hope I don't overly abuse this in the future though because you can shop the clothing selection whenever and have them shipped to you, rather than waiting for your scheduled box.

My favorite part about Stitch Fix is actually the Style Shuffles! You can go in every day and thumbs up or down clothing pieces depending on your style. I did notice that some pieces seem kinda outdated or Amazon-y, which is concerning when it comes to them sending out the style boxes to me.

Then, you can go into the Shop where they pick items that are Trending for You. I'm not sure if I'm doing this right though because Stitch Fix thinks I'm an athleisure bitch...? 🤔
One of the items that I loved was a midi dress with a slit. I loved it so much that I ordered another one in a different print. Unfortunately, the second one wasn't as flattering on me, even though I liked the print better, and I had to return it ☹️.

I decided to wait for my second box before doing a full review of Stitch Fix. For the spring box, I mentioned that I like floral and lacy tops, dresses, and rompers. This is what I got:
Spring 1 (April)
Not gonna lie, kinda disappointed in this one. I had asked for floral tops, rompers, and jumpsuits. The pieces looked cute together, but 1) I'm not a skirt girl, 2) I'm not an animal print girl, and 3) the quality of the pieces were meh. I was so disappointed in fact, that I asked for another box to be shipped to me to see what else they have. Don't get me wrong, these clothes look super cute on the hanger, but almost all of them weren't flattering. I was really excited to try on some new clothes for spring, but this just wasn't it. I decided to keep the jeans even though ripped jeans are the last thing I need. They are actually really really comfy and fit me really well and I can wear them on the weekends. I also liked the blazer, but for $88, I decided to return it because it was really thin and see-through. Hopefully my next box will be better...
Not gonna lie, these pieces were really cute when I saw them. However, they're just not my style/fit. First of all, I had asked for some floral tops, rompers, and jumpsuits for spring - none of which I got. I'm also not a midi skirt or animal print person, so that was a bummer. Lastly, the fit and quality of the pieces were just not up to par.
My favorite items in this box were the blazer and jeans. I was actually surprised I kept the jeans because they're the last things I need for my closet. However, they fit so well and they're so comfortable I thought I could wear them on weekend outings now that everything is opening back up again 🎉🎉🎉! The blazer was a really hard decision, but I ultimately decided to send it back. The color was really cute and it was really comfortable, but it was see-through. For $88, I can find a better quality blazer elsewhere.
I was expecting more from this box and was kinda disappointed by how only one piece worked and it wasn't even something I needed. So, I decided to order another box for spring with the same request: floral tops, rompers, and jumpsuits.
Spring 2 (Also April)
This one was an even larger N-O. Sure, I received some floral pieces, but why does this box give me soccer mom vibes???

I actually thought the white top would've been fine, but the sizing was way off. Both the blouses were really tight in the chest, which confused me because in my profile, I mentioned to size up on tops that were tight in the chest. Your girl isn't in the IBTC, ya know what I mean?

I sent everything back and was pretty much ready to give up on Stitch Fix, but they offered to waive my styling fee and send me another box as redemption, so why not? 🤷🏻♀️ Third time's the charm, right? I also felt bad, but I requested a new stylist. Didn't seem like that original chick got my style or listened to what was looking for. Bye, Felicia 👋
Spring 3 (Last One in April)
Okayyyy we're finally getting somewhere! I finally got pieces that I was asking for, and they fit me alright! I kinda wish I got a few lighter colored pieces, but I like wearing dark colors too.

The blazer was actually the only piece that was meh. The color is a little too bright for my liking, and it kinda had a "washed out" look to it. Again, not worth the price in my opinion. The jumpsuit was exactly what I needed for spring - something I can wear to work with a blazer, or with some sandals to a brunch or winery trip. (Also pictured on my instagram post!) The tops were cute with some jeans! The green one unfortunately was too tight again in the chest, but I decided to keep the black one. Again, I'm not a skirt girl, but the scalloped edges of the hem and pockets were really cute. I tested it out with several of my tops, and I think I can pull it off with my tops tucked in 🤷🏻♀️.
In the end, I decided to keep 3 out of the 5 pieces, all of which were black, coincidentally. I'm not sure if Stitch Fix has finally started to understand my style, or if this new stylist is just better, but I was pretty satisfied with this box.
Overall, if you're looking to branch out of your comfort zone with your new clothes, this would be a fun service to try. I didn't notice any items valued at any less than $35, so if you're willing to spend some extra $$$, this is for you. In my opinion, I had to get out of my comfort zone to splurge on some items, but hopefully the quality of my new clothes are good enough to last awhile and make the price worth it. Otherwise, I'd rather fall back on my regular Nordstrom Rack sprees 😅😅
