My titles keep getting lamer and lamer lol.
Welcome to part two of my flower review series! In case you missed it, part one was about Bloomsybox. This time I'm reviewing the first flower subscription I ever tried: Enjoy Flowers. We go wayyy back.
We Summarize Things
Enjoy Flowers: A-. Beauuutiful and interesting arrangements that last a long time. Not great website for managing subscriptions. Some sustainability questions.

Unlike other flower companies, my experience with Enjoy Flowers started before COVID. My sister came to visit me and learned about my new weird obsession with flowers, so she got me a three month subscription to Enjoy Flowers for Christmas! So sweet ☺️
When my first ever bouquet showed up, I remember being surprised at how pretty it was and how few flowers I recognized. Most of my flower buying experience at the time was limited to single-variety bunches of daisies or whatever at the grocery store, so it was really exciting for me to have a mixed bouquet with flowers I didn’t know. As time went on, I was also surprised at how long these flowers lasted. Of course, you have to take flowers out of the vase as they wilt, but the huge variety that Enjoy Flowers includes in their bouquets lends itself to really long-lasting arrangements.
Ordering and delivery. Enjoy Flowers offers three main styles of bouquets—Classic, Farm Fresh, and DIY—in three sizes. They also just added a Hallmark collection which includes three styles but I think they’re just one size. So there are lots of options to choose from. Once you pick which style you want (personally I always go for Farm Fresh because I think the flowers are more interesting) and add to cart, you pick your first delivery date (typically Tuesdays or Fridays), pay, and boom you're done.

You'll get an email from both Enjoy Flowers and FedEx about a week before your bouquet ships. The first time I got the FedEx email I was mega confused because I was like uh I didn't order anything, but in the email it says the shipper is Enjoy Flowers, plus there's the other email actually from Enjoy Flowers, so you can put two and two together. Don't worry, your flowers don't actually spend a week in the mail. It's more like three days - two days to travel from Bogota to Miami, and then one day to get to wherever in the US.
In my year of ordering from Enjoy Flowers, I have never had a delivery arrive late, even during the recent holiday rush. There have been times where FedEx's tracking was less than ideal (let's be honest, most carriers have terrible tracking) but they always manage to make it on schedule.
Cost. A regular sized (20-25 stems) Farm Fresh bouquet is $49, which seems to be the standard price for similarly sized bouquets at other companies. I think a regular Classic costs slightly more, but I'm perfectly happy with Farm Fresh so I just keep getting that. If you prepay for x number of months, you get a slight discount, but it's a negligible amount imo.
Enjoy Flowers also has a rewards program! Every time you place an order (like a gift) or your card is charged for your monthly bouquet, you accumulate points which can be used for $5 to $50 off on future deliveries. After your first order, you'll already have enough points to get $5 off your next order, which is generous. Being the total hoarder that I am though, I'm saving up my points so I can get a bigger discount later. I love rewards programs ❤️
Website and account management. This is probably the worst part of buying from Enjoy Flowers sadly. Despite the ordering process being quite easy, trying to manage my subscription afterward had a steep learning curve. It's just not very clear how to do things.
Once you log in to your account, you’ll need to click the little icon that indicates you're logged in to do anything. There are some options that appear but most of them make no sense. Why would you need a "View Profile" and "Edit Profile?" Also, there's literally no information in these sections except my name lol.
You'd think that "View Profile" is where all of the information about my subscriptions, addresses, billing, etc. live, but nope. All of that lives in "My Orders." Once you're in "My Orders," you have to go to "Manage Subscriptions" to pause your subscription, change your next delivery date, change the bouquet type, or edit your billing. Does it get clearer from here? No.

When I first saw this page, I was like wait, so my only options are to skip or cancel? What if I just need to shift my delivery date by a week? It's not clear at all, but if you click "Skip next renewal," that's how you pick a new date:

By the way, it's also not very clear, but the date you see is actually the date your card will be charged. Make sure to note down what you choose because you don't get a reminder email from their system a few days in advance.
Scrolling down further, there's another section called "Review (or change) your future delivery dates" but you actually can't do anything here. It only shows you your past delivery dates 🤷🏻♀️

Finally, if you scroll down more, you can update your billing information. There's also another "Billing" section you can access from the menu on the left side. So...yeah. It seems like with this system, there are either multiple places where you can change/see something or it has to be done through very specific steps.
Sustainability. I mentioned this in my Bloomsybox review as well but I've definitely been grappling with the carbon footprint created by shipping flowers expedited from South America. On one hand, there's the carbon footprint from shipping in general, but on the other hand, what's the alternative? Getting in my car and driving to the store to get flowers that were shipped in anyway? Idk. With local places, you also don't always know where they get their flowers from, whereas presumably Enjoy Flowers owns/works with Rainforest Alliance farms that pay their workers above average wages, benefits, and sponsor a housing fund for them. Again, I can't research these farms more so who knows if this is true, but I hope it is.
I guess another alternative would be to not buy flowers altogether, but if everyone stopped buying flowers, would we be destroying the economies and therefore the livelihoods of people who already rely heavily on flower exports? These dilemmas are way above my pay grade.
Something I also find questionable is the green crumbly material that the flowers are packed with to keep hydrated during transit (forgot to take a pic but maybe I'll update this post when my next shipment arrives). I have no clue how to dispose of it so I just wrap it up and put it in the trash to avoid contaminating my recycling bin 😞 Would love for Enjoy Flowers to provide instructions on how to recycle all of their shipping materials. They give you instructions on literally everything except the crumblies.
In any case, I hope to one day see a sustainability report and a carbon neutral shipping program from Enjoy Flowers (and all companies in general) because it just keeps us all more accountable for one other's wellbeing. End soapbox.
Time for the actual flowers! I'm so excited for this section because (spoiler alert) Enjoy Flowers honestly blows all of the other companies I've tried out of the water. For December, I received a bouquet that had holiday/Christmas-y vibes but didn't scream Christmas like a poinsettia, which made it more versatile.
The flowers arrived in great condition and I did a standard stem trim before putting them in water with about 1/3 of the flower food. Idk why I did 1/3 of the flower food. The whole packet just felt like too much.

With every new bouquet I typically try to change the water every 2-3 days and trim the stems every other water change. This time I also spread the flower food over three water changes. I've never really noticed a difference between using a full packet of flower food, a half packet, another variation, or none at all. One day if I really feel like getting scientific maybe I'll test out the effects of full flower food packet vs. various partial...maybe.
On Day 6, the hydrangeas started to look droopy - you can see them on the right side of the bouquet in the below picture. A florist once told me that hydrangeas are very thirsty flowers so I thought maybe they just needed a water change.

Unfortunately the hydrangeas didn't perk back up by Day 8, so I took them out of the vase to see if they maybe just needed their own water sans flower food; they did not - I ended up just tossing them. Even without the hydrangeas though, the overall bouquet looked pretty good - I honestly didn't even notice anything was missing.

After the hydrangeas came the roses. Roses are so weird. Sometimes they wilt super fast and other times they hang out for a long ass time. I had to take out two of the roses on Day 10 because they were getting crispy, but similar to the hydrangeas, I barely noticed them being gone.

Flash forward to Day 15, and everything is still looking good. The red Peruvian lilies had dropped some petals, but they didn't look dried out or anything. Proof below:

The red lilies kept dropping petals over the next few days, but they mostly held on until Day 21. 21! Can you believe that? I was so impressed. By that time, another one of the roses had wilted and the purple pom pom flowers (obvi not their official name - I just don't know what they're called) were dried up. I took the lilies, rose, and pom poms out and ended up with this cute little thing:

Obviously this is not the grandest bouquet anymore but 1. most of the bouquet made it to three weeks, and 2. we're at Day 25 as of me writing this and the remaining flowers are still looking the same as Day 21, so I call this a win.
Three weeks is longer than I've ever seen any other company's bouquets last. How did Enjoy Flowers' farms do this? What magic is this?
Final thoughts. Maybe you've picked up on this just a smidge, but I LOVE Enjoy Flowers. Sure, their website is not super easy to navigate, but at the end of the day, I just want an interesting selection of flowers that stick around as long as possible, and Enjoy Flowers definitely delivers on that front. It also helps that they're similarly priced compared to other companies (but last longer!) and you don't even need to be a longtime customer to benefit from their rewards program. I would love to see some more action taken on the sustainability front. That would bump Enjoy Flowers up to a resounding A+ even with the confusing website. For now, since there are still some question marks, I'm going to leave it at A- for the simple ordering process, always on-time delivery, great rewards program, and beautiful and long-lasting bouquets. Other places need to step up their game.
